What is the best compact digital camera?

I've been thinking about buying the Cyershot Sony DSC-T300. Does anyone have any opinion on this or there is another who should be looking for them? I'm mainly after something very small and compact it fits in your pocket on vacation, etc, so that the subject best webcam to this limitation. That is, the size and weight is the most important factor for me. Thank you very much

Sony used to be competitive once a while, but lately they have been sitting on its past glory. The DSC-T300 is fine but $ 300 +? And the rational, is a strange, flat and wide .. not compact at all. I just checked and it is 94 x 59.3 x 21.4 mm The have just purchased the Aiptek 8200 PocketCam most compact 92 x 50 x 27.5mm and half the money, but half quality at the 8-megapixel!
