Lizard King How can people possibly compare Bono with the “Lizard King?”?
I don’t see it.
Two TOTALLY different individuals with two TOTALLY different contributions to the world of music.
True, Jim didn’t make this name for himself as some kind of savior of the world as Bono has, and yes, Bono has done some incredible things but I kind of agree with one of the posters above… he is overrated. I don’t listen to U2, never have, but appreciate some of the issues Bono has dedicated his time to.
Jim Morrison IS a ROCK STAR. When it comes to music and art, he paved the way. Too bad the music of today does not COMPARE to what The Doors offer. Maybe THE LIZARD KING was not perfect but who is? He certainly rocks my world with his vocals, lyrics and WHO HE IS.
My husband and I met through a friend who knew we both LOVED The Doors. You should see our Home. Nothing but love for Jim and the guys.
On a personal note, The Doors’ music helped me out through tremendously tough times in my life. Music is therapy to me and so many times Mr. Morrison has been my Shrink, my Healer, the voice to urge me to be ME and not give a f#
So, comparing Bono and Jim... oranges and damn kittens... not in the same league. MY OPINION!
