I feel so stupid! I can’t talk!?
All this moving is frustrating! I just moved to a new college and it’s going to take me months to find new friends. I’m going insane from the boredom and all I do is sit around and read old magazines b/c people won’t talk to me. I ran into one of my old high school friends today and we hadn’t talked in a while, but it was so akward! I couldn’t find anything to talk about and she seemed pretty happy w/ her bf. I didn’t want to intrude on them so I just tried to rush and get out of there. Why is it so hard for me to make a simple conversation?! I feel so lame!
So my main question is how can I stop feeling akward and just talk and have a good time? I used to be good at making friends but my mojo is completely gone!

First of all this is completely normal, You just moved to a new place, Just give it a little more time and people will start to open up and you will too, It’s always that way when your the new person. Then one at a time someone will get the nerve to come up to you and make conversation and so on, It is hard to just go up to someone you don’t know and try to talk to them, The people around you are probably trying to think of ways to start a conversation w/you as well, Maybe you should just put yourself out there more then you will give the other students a bigger chance to come up to you.
