What is an average salary of a waiter in a cafe?

Hi, I wonder if I am paying right, so if you can let me know how much you or someone you know payment will be great. Thanks! About me and my work: I am 18 years old male. I live in Australia (Melbourne), the Labor Service does not serve alcohol – only food and (most) of my functions are principally coffee consumption of food (prepaired by others) to tables, cleaning tables, etc. + occasional odd jobs like going to the shops for "emergencies" and so i do not wash the dishes. I have worked in this department over 2.5 years i am a casual worker (although my schedule is very consistent) I paid AU $ 13 p / h (~ U.S. $ 12) I know that wages vary considerably around the world, but I wonder what people from other countries in similar positions earn too. Thanks!

In the U.S., waiters and waitresses are paid a average of $ 2.65 per hour (AU $ 2.85). In general, the company he works for the waiter did not pay the worker at all, but his salary is determined almost exclusively by how much they tipped. So the idea that paid $ 12/hour Principals is incredible.
