Do not rehearse the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra?
I heard my professor said: "The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra of New York before making reherse opera. "" The members of the orchestra, only have one chance to rehearse on stage. "Is it true?
No, no true. The orchestra rehearses regularly. The orch not done everything every night – there are additional players to the great operas of Wagner and of course, smaller as the operas of Rossini and Handel's use much smaller orchestras. Of course, the operas are presented regularly only need a brush up rehearsal or two. New productions are vigorously tested! Remember that the MET orchestra also performs concerts at Carnegie Hall and elsewhere from time to time. Yep. To rehearse. A lot!
